Where Christine finds her answers

Christine searches a curated collection of published teaching and selected guidance. She does not browse the live web, search your private information or read the whole of every linked website.

The collection contains 530 passages from 76 sources. This release was checked on 22 October 2026. An answer’s numbered references take you to the material used.

How to use Christine and understand her limitations

SAS Doctors teaching

The complete 19-chapter career-progression handbook is joined by selected sections on appraisal and revalidation, portfolio evidence, job applications and interviews, leadership, complaints, professional regulation and workplace wellbeing. These are educational resources, not a substitute for your contract, current local policy or individual advice.

ClinicalEdu learning

Christine can suggest relevant programmes and explain selected introductory concepts in frailty, comprehensive geriatric assessment and improvement methods. Most ClinicalEdu entries are course summaries, not the full course text. Completion certificates record learning; they do not establish clinical competence or eligibility for a post.

Official guidance

Selected GMC and RCP summaries provide regulatory and professional context. Christine distinguishes recommendations from contractual entitlements, and Specialist grade employment from specialist registration. For consultant appointments, she must preserve the GMC’s foundation-trust qualification.

The RCP job-description approval service has ended. The current AAC page takes precedence over legacy approval wording elsewhere. RCP SPA recommendations are not universal contractual minima or GMC revalidation rules.

Current limits

Detailed national regrading procedures, pay and pension calculations, legal deadlines and individual employment or clinical decisions are outside this collection’s verified coverage. Where evidence is missing, Christine should say so. Sources have review dates and can be withdrawn; a current date is not a guarantee that an external page has not changed. Open the source before acting on an important point.
