Meet Miss Christine,
your SAS AI Tutor

A place to explore a professional question, organise your thinking and find a useful next step.

Christine is an AI learning assistant created for SAS Doctors. Her name, portrait and gentle animations make the conversation more welcoming. She is not a real person, a clinician or your appointed SAS tutor, and no human tutor is monitoring the conversation in real time.

What can I ask?

You can ask for help preparing a career or job-plan discussion, organising appraisal evidence, understanding leadership and quality improvement, preparing an application or thinking through a general professional concern. Christine can also point you towards selected ClinicalEdu courses, including frailty and comprehensive geriatric assessment.

Tell her your UK nation and grade or contract where relevant, without identifying yourself or other people. Ask one clear question, then use a follow-up to clarify an answer or request a practical outline. Christine cannot access your portfolio, assess your competence, decide eligibility for a post or produce genuine evidence of work you have not done.

How she finds an answer

Christine searches a dated collection containing the career-progression handbook, selected SAS Doctors teaching, ClinicalEdu summaries and selected GMC and RCP guidance. Relevant passages are supplied to an OpenAI model to help compose the response. Numbered references link to the material used.

This is a curated collection, not live web browsing or a search of every page on either website. ClinicalEdu course summaries help identify learning opportunities; they do not mean Christine has read every module. Where coverage is insufficient, she should explain the gap rather than invent a rule or reference. See the source register and current coverage.

Read answers critically

AI can misunderstand your question, omit an important qualification or give an incorrect answer even when it includes a reference. A citation is a route to checking the answer, not a guarantee that the conclusion follows from the source. Open the relevant original guidance, check its date and jurisdiction, and confirm local arrangements before acting.

Christine provides educational support, not individual clinical, legal, employment, financial or regulatory advice. She cannot determine a complaint, give an individual treatment plan, replace supervision or representation, or guarantee an appointment or registration outcome. Use an appropriate clinician, manager, SAS tutor, union, defence organisation or other qualified adviser for decisions about your circumstances. Do not use this chat for emergencies or urgent patient care.

Free access without a user account

No user account, membership or password needed. Complete the human check and ask two introductory questions. Verify your email with a six-digit code to unlock six more, giving eight questions in total. Follow-up questions count. Your personal allowance resets 24 hours after the first question, at the time displayed in the chat.

If a workplace email does not receive the code, check junk or spam, then try a personal email. A work email is not required. Reopening the chat or verifying again does not reset the allowance. There is also a site-wide ceiling of 500 AI generation requests per UTC day and daily and monthly cost limits. A cost limit may pause the service earlier. Christine will explain when she cannot accept another question; your existing conversation remains available to read and download.

Keep your conversation if you need it

Use “Download conversation as PDF” before refreshing, leaving, clearing or ending the chat. The PDF is generated on your device. The conversation is held in this page’s memory; SAS Doctors does not save a retrievable chat history, and we cannot restore it afterwards. Keep downloaded copies secure, check their content and references, and treat them as learning notes rather than an official professional record or certificate.

Privacy and confidentiality

Do not enter names, contact details, patient identifiers or confidential information about patients, colleagues or your organisation. Your question and limited recent conversation are sent through our server to OpenAI to generate an answer. We request no saved response state, but this does not guarantee zero retention by the provider.

Email delivery and human verification involve service providers. Limited protected identifiers, usage counters and technical records help enforce fair use and control costs; it would be misleading to say that no personal data is processed. Read the full conversation, verification and retention details.

Help us improve Christine

If an answer seems inaccurate or unclear, use the contact and corrections page. Describe the issue and relevant source without sharing confidential details. You can turn portrait animation off using the control beside Christine; reduced-motion preferences are also respected.
